Favorite books: harry potter, obviously. atonement, by ian mcewan; the time-traveler's wife, by audrey niffenegger; a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, by dave eggers; the great gatsby, by f. scott fitzgerald; the odessey, by homer; and catcher in the rye and nine stories by j.d. salinger. Favorite movies: empire records, imagine me and you, the departed, enchanted, say anything, milk, kiss kiss bang bang, brokeback mountain, the princess bride, waitress, pride and prejudice, um... probably a lot of others. those are what come to mind as favorites right now, although i haven't watched many movies lately. Favorite bands: the decemberists, angus & julia stone, brand new, kevin devine, neutral milk hotel, laura marling, eisley, manchester orchestra, the beatles, iron & wine, the arcade fire, vienna teng, explosions in the sky, cobra starship, the postal service, the hush sound, taylor swift, 3oh!3, yeah yeah yeahs, the cure, etc. i love all kinds of music. i currently also care more about music than tv, although once everything starts again that might change.
